i CONSULTING was founded by Mike Simmons. He has done the whole spectrum of product development: From concept generation to market & financial analysis to manufacturing sourcing & liaison – he has experience in each step of the process.

His career started in Stanford’s Product Design program where he fell in love with the process of creating new and useful products. He further developed his passion with design and CAD expertise via several years of consulting at Lunar Design. To round out his business side of the equation, he earned an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, worked with startup companies as a venture capital associate, and then consulted to Fortune 100 companies.

Mike has won several design awards working with development teams in companies such as Danger, HP, Motorola, SanDisk, and Nova Cruz Products; and he has consulted to clients in many industries including consumer electronics, medical instruments and recreational transportation. Creating new products and ventures and improving the process to do so is what truly motivates Mike.
